The Drippy Stairs

Concept Design, Art Direction

The Drippy Stairs were born of a desire to give employees a joyful jolt of energy as they enter the Google office. Due to fire-rating requirements it is closed on either end, providing an interesting opportunity to surprise users as they enter. Working with a professional local artist, Don Rockwell, the dripping technique was accomplished through many rounds of trial and error, but was critical to achieve the unexpected, hand-crafted end result meant to inspire creativity.

This project was completed while employed by NBBJ.
